2. Project Description - Please explain about your project and how you will use the
laptops (*): LESAJU FAMILY HEALTH CARE AND EMPOWERMENT
FOUNDATION is registered by Kasese District Local Government NGO/CBO
DESK as a
Community based organization (CBO), Registration Number: 2011.
Lesaju Family Health Care and Empowerment Foundation started in 2018 by a
group of health workers and development activists who are referred to as
promoters of this organization. Recalling on history of their community
background characterized by high levels of school drop outs, teenage pregnancies,
increased numbers of children on street, domestic violence, Diseases, rebel attacks
activities, periodic disasters, tribe conflicts, poverty, limited access to health
services, safe water, poor cultural beliefs and in accessibility to finances,
environmental pollution, poor nutrition and unemployment. After realizing these
social, healthy and economic concerns, the promoters committed themselves to
establish an organization that will work to address the above issues among the
vulnerable groups.
We intend to use the laptops to train computer packages to OVCs, adolescent girls
and young women who may not be able to meet the charges and fees to acquire
computer training in payable training centers.
