Hello everyone,

This weekend the migration from 1.0 to 2.0 was completed and we are now officially running on the new 2.0 platform.

To help you make a better use of the new features, please read the new "Labdoo 'How it Works'" wiki book: https://www.labdoo.org/content/labdoo-social-network-how-it-works.

Here are some of the features that 2.0 brings compared to 1.0:

- It is substantially faster.

- Integration of the teams platform (you no longer need to have two separate accounts for teams and labdoo.org).

- The platform can now accept not just laptops, but also tablets, smartphones, eBooks, and any electronic devices that can be used for education purposes. In 2.0, we call these devices "doojects".

- New dootrips interface allowing users to create and manage their own trips.

- New superhub interface enabling the distribution of roles to create hubs (this was a bottleneck in 1.0 as only one person could create hubs).

- New internal workflow algorithms that allow doojects, dootrips, edoovillages and hubs to be connected with each other. For instance, dootrips can be linked to doojects, which get automatically updated when they are delivered to school.

- New geolocation algorithms to help improve usage and transparency of the platform.

- New "my doojects", "my dootrips", "my edoovillages", "my hubs" dashboards that allow users to quickly track their Labdoo contributions.

- Improved and added new automatic email notifications.

- New multi-language interface, allowing users to help translate the platform into other languages in a collaborative manner.

- New Labdoo Wiki, allowing users to help write documents in a collaborative manner too.

- Code is open/free software and well maintained via a git repository https://github.com/Labdoo/Labdoo.

In the coming weeks we will continue to improve the system as there are certain aspects that need tuning. If you find a bug or if you want to request a new feature, please report it via the new teams interface as follows:

- Go to the teams list here: https://www.labdoo.org/teams

- Subscribe to the "Software Development Team".

- Once inside the "Software Development Team", click on "Start task" icon on the right side. Fill in the task (select the type "Feature request"). You can assign all software development tasks to the user jordi.ros for now.
