What versions of Ubuntu does the Labdoo software platform work with? Is it only Ubuntu 1.4.04?

Hi,
due to limited resources only images based on Lubuntu 18.04 LTS are maintained. But older releases 16.04 LTS may be found in our archive http://ftp.labdoo.org/download/archive/16_04_archive/. But these are not updated and even Linux community does not update or fix this release. So Labdoo recommends to use only actual releases.

Hi Wendy,
I am not sure what Justin is asking exactly? As explained about the images for cloning (not VM Virtual machine) are based on 18.04 LTS. Next is the images are based on Lubuntu, not Ubuntu. Or is he asking, if he can add Ubuntu as a virtual machine within VirtualBox? VirtualBox is pre-installed in our images and can run any kind of supported operating-systems (Android, iOS, Windows, Linux, Ubuntu etc).
If we don't talk about images, but the incomplete way of installation then you can use Ubuntu, to install an operating system on a laptop. You can use any Ubuntu release, but many are out of support. Actual is Ubuntu 19.04, we we skip these intermediate releases and only skip OS every 2 years, so schools are not confused too much, receiving several versions.
Does one of these answers fit? Otherwise please explain more in deatils, what the question is about.
Thanks, Ralf

Hi sorry...

I realized I posted my answer in the wrong question :D :D
@Ralf, by what I understand they are trying to recreate the "labdoo engine" where the website is hosted...

----
Ubuntu 14 is the version where the current productive system is running and the only one in which the current installation mechanisms have been tested correctly.

I will update this info un the Github project, since by what i saw is not explicitly mentioned....
