In a few weeks Lubuntu 16.04 LTS will be officially released. A pre-release can already be downloaded and tested. Labdoos dootronics should base on a stable version so I recommend to wait for Lubuntu 16.04.1, which should be available in May(?), 2016.

I know it is very strange to install and run a Linux OS (Lubuntu) within Labdoo project and to ask at the same time, if we should install an additional Windows theme (Windows look alike user interface).
After contributing about 2.500 laptops to Labdoo projects during the last 4 years I got different replies. Some users like Lubuntu at-once, some ask for Windows, but stay with Linux, others...
There are good news - RACHEL offers now much more educational content in more languages. And wikipedia for schools is now available in Spanish, French, Portuguese etc.

The problem - it does not comes bundled in one zip-file (maybe in the future, or we solve it with Labdoo project). You have to decide, which content is needed for your edoovillage...

A helper suggested to use a script to download a pre-defined set of wiki pages, bind them into a pdf, so users can use them as one document (e.g. to print it or store it locally on Labdoo laptops).
Actually you have to open several wiki pages, click on printer version, print, open next page etc.
Is there a way e.g. within Drupal to support such a way to bind several wiki page in a printer...

Labdoo generates and provides documents using LibreOffice http://www.libreoffice.org/. As some helpers have MS-Office installed and do not want to install LibreOffice in parallel (even it works well) we recommend to install a Plug-In to be able to read and write ODF format.
