I am aware of the two ways to filter dootronics https://www.labdoo.org/de/content/dootronics-dashboard and https://www.labdoo.org/de/map?type[]=laptop. This request is not new, but we are going to de-centralize the contact management with IT donors. And so each hub must be able to search in his area for dootronics.
For Labdooers it is already solved well. A user is able to define his town, a radius and see the Labdooers in his area, but not for dootronics.
For dootronics both search option lack a certain mode, so they cannot be used in a comfortable way:

The definition of the centre of the search radius is not comfortable. Instead of a town and a country you have to use geo-coordinates. And the filter "pick-me-up" is missing.
2. https://www.labdoo.org/de/content/dootronics-dashboard
offers a filter fields = pick-me-up and a filter for country, but not for the town and search radius. A user is able to set a filter for his/her hub, but not all dootronics are linked to a hub. So actually you can get a list for your country, but not for a region.
Automatize local notification mails:
As the number of IT donations is increasing it might be helpful to think about decentralizing notification mails, when a dootronic is tagged and pick-me-up is activated. So a hub can get a mail when a "pick-me-up" dootronic is tagged within a pre-defined radius around his hub or one super-hub is responsible for a country (Switzerland). As some hubs are very active and other snot, the best way would be:
- in general the super-hub gets the notification mail,
- - unless a search radius is activated for a certain hub (then the super hub get the mail cc)
Some or all of these wishes are not new, but I summarized and renewed them as the wishes were renewed from Labdooers.

- About the Global Inventory dashboard (https://www.labdoo.org/map?type[]=laptop):
1. It now has a mini-map to help position the location from where to initiate 'distance searches'.
2. It is also smart in that it remembers your last selection. This is handy because most users will want to search for objects repetitively based on the same location center (e.g., a user's home town).
- About decentralization and automatic notification:
1. There is now a new option only available to hub managers allowing to receive automatic email notifications upon two types of events: a 'pick me up' event and a 'dootronic tag' event. (See attached screenshot.)
2. This option allows hub managers to define a distance in kms from their home town to search for activity. (See attached screenshot)
3. Email notifications from dootronics that have been marked as pick me up carry a special string "('Pick me up' ON)" to help hub managers identify that this flag is turned on.
To configure this new option go to 'My account' and click on the tab 'Edit profile', then select 'Hub manager notifications'.
Only hub managers who configure this feature and who are within the area of action determined by the specified distance value will receive notifications for the selected types of events.
