Reported by our edoovillage that the pictures she uploaded cannot be seen because the file name is in Chinese.

Picture attached (I noticed the picture name is automatically translated to English here, not inside edoovillage photo album.)

Thanks!

Yes, we've seen this before. We currently only support file names without special characters. So if an image cannot be uploaded, please change the name to something simple like picture1.png or similar (without spaces nor any special character). Let us know if this fixes it.

> any plan to support languages other than English (?)

The issue is not that the name of the image needs to be in English, it can be in any language, but it cannot contain any special character (so the image can be called hello.png but also hola.png). It looks like from what you are saying that it does not support Chinese characters. Could you attach to this conversation the image with the name that failed to be uploaded? (the one uploaded previously has the name lan_cheng_1.jpg, which has no Chinese characters and should be ok to upload). Thank you.

Hi Wendy,

The main issue is that currently our photo albums requires file names that don't have any special characters. It seems a simple feature but supporting arbitrary characters for file upload in the photo albums requires a bit of code changes. Instead what i have done is to put a "Note" message to make sure users are aware:

"Note: please make sure the names of the images you upload have no special characters such as spaces, accents, etc."

See attached screenshot.

In the future if this becomes a big issue we can revisit and spend more time to support arbitrary names. I hope that's ok, thanks.
