The group of students in charge of the Labdoo UCI hub has been awarded a funding application from The Green Initiative Fund (TGIF). The funds will be used to mobilize the grassroots on Campus in order to fight the digital divide between the richer and the poorer countries, and promote recycling awareness to reduce eWaste. For instance, as part of this initiative, the group will initiate a BAT (Buy and Tag) program with the Campus bookstore, to bring awareness and mobilize students who buy computers and laptops.
