04/22/2011 - More laptops deployed in Nigeria via dootrips from Barcelona, California and New York.
Recently (on April 13th) we had another dootrip from New York to Nigeria for laptops that had originally being dootripped from Barcelona and California to New York. A total of six laptops were carried in this occasion to Ndoni, Nigeria and all laptops are now running and being used by a child (status S4).
In addition, the partnering NGO team lead by Pastor Christopher Okwedy in Nigeria has been working to build a new computer lab room. Check out the pictures showing the construction of this new lab .
This has been another small but yet truly collaborative grassroots effort. Some laptops were sanitized from California (at the University of California, Irvine), some from Barcelona, then dootripped to New York by several volunteer travelers and eventually carried to Nigeria via other global dootripper resources. Only excess capacity was used throughout, and there was no cost involved in each of these operations. You can be American, European, Taiwanese, Nigerian... it does not matter, we all have a common goal to work on.
Happy tagging. The Labdoo team.
