Hello everyone!

We had an event last week in Madrid to kick-off a new labdoo hub there. The hub will be operated from an organization called cyclicka.org in Madrid. Here is a link for those of you who can read Spanish: http://blogs.latabacalera.net/cyclicka/

As part of the events, cyclicka and labdoo organized a concert festival called "un portatil para cada humano" (a laptop for every human) and did a few taggings there. A goal was to bring awareness about the digital divide and ewaste. Also as a result we connected with some friends who have an NGO operating in Uganda called inmovement.org. They have a school in Kampala for orphan kids and while they have electricity and are under 2G/3G Internet coverage, they don't have computers. So it was decided that the labdoo hub in Madrid would take upon the mini mission of providing laptops to the inmovement.org project in Kampala, Uganda. It turns out that one of the founders of the inmovement.org project travels frequently from Madrid to Kampala, so she will be doing dootrips herself.
