01/25/2012 - Activism in the US, new Hub created in Germany and Circle of Life's Italian Voice!

This January Labdoo had its own stand at the Consumer Electronic Show (CES) hosted at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas, US.  CES is one of the largest high-tech conventions, with over 3000 companies presenting their latest technology inventions.  

At CES, Labdoo students and activists presented the project and performed outreaching tasks, explaining the challenges derived from the digital divide and electronic waste problems as well as the tools developed by Labdoo to help resolve them. 

Just a few days after CES, German volunteers decided to join the Labdoo train and created their own Labdoo hub, at the location of Mülheim, Germany.  The hub has already tagged the first laptops and started looking for dootrips to bring them to children; it has also translated Labdoo's website to Germany.  While this was happening in Germany, an Italian Labdoo activist donated her voice to help build the Circle of Life video in Italian, check it out!
